News Feature

 

News pages play an important role in keeping your website active, and therefore maintaining/increasing your rank within the search engines.  In your News  section you can create UNLIMITED categories and articles to be presented and archived on your website!

 

You may want to post information about new product lines, company or project information.  You may wish to have an individual category specifically for press releases or customer feedback and testimonials. 

 

Utilise any releveant information to keep your website updated with fresh news and relevant content.  The News feature allows you to do this in an informative and dynamic way and gives you the added bonus of reaching your customers frequently and directly using the automatic RSS Feed that is linked from your News Articles feed. 

 

This means that every time you update the New articles, any one who has clicked to recieve updates will recieve these directly to their browser, desktop application, mobile application or email client (which ever they use as a preference).

 

Your News articles, like any other page on your website can be edited using the WYSIWYG content editor and can include text, images, embedded videos and media, links and embedded documents.

 

 

News Article

 

In order to begin posting Articles you will first need to set up some Categories for the News.

 

First go to the "Pages" tab. 

 

Scroll down to "News"

 

Select "Categories"

 

Enter your category name into the text box provided then click "Create."

Once you have your desired categories set up you can then begin posting your relevant News using the Articles section.

 

Back to the "Pages" tab, go to "News" in the menu and then select "New Article"

 

News Article

 

To add a new article to your category click "New Article" from the Menu. Enter a title in the text box provided (sections marked with ‘*' are required fields), and select the category you wish the article to be placed in from the drop down menu.

 

You can choose to upload an image by clicking "Browse" alongside "Image" and selecting one from your files, however this is optional.

 

Finally, enter your article into the text box and then style and format the text using the WYSIWYG Editor. Once completed, click "Submit" and your article will be added to your website.

 

In the Articles section you can also go back and view/edit previously posted articles.

 

Simply click on "Edit" or "Delete" from the Action section next to the article to make the amendments to.
