Delivery Management

To access your Delivery Management in your content management system simply go to "Settings" on the control panel and scroll to Delivery Management.

You will then be met with the Delivery Management interface.

This allows you to control where your products can be delivered to and what cost will be incurred.

You can seperate these attribute to different distribution groups, for example have one set of prices for the UK and an alternative rate for Europe and the rest of the world.

To create a group, enter the name of the group, for example Europe, and click "Create Group."

Once the group has been created, you'll need to customise the settings by clicking "Config."

To add a country that this group will deliver to, select it from the drop down menu and click "Add Country."

Group Settings

Here you can change the group name and decide by which method you are going to be calculating the cost of delivery. This can either be determined by weight or by price; you must select one or the other as you cannot use both.

Here you can also determine whether VAT is payable for that particular distribution group and so if you require VAT to be payable for only certain countries nd not for others you simply assign the relevant countries to a new distribution group and set up the price bands as normal with the VAT setting checked or unchecked accordingly.

Select one from the drop down box and click "Update."

You may disable the use of a group for a period of time whilst you determine prices, etc. by checking the "Group is Disabled" check box.

Weight / Price Bands

Delivery Management Weight and Price bands

Weight/Price bands must be worked out using the same weight scale.

This will be related to the weights that you enter for individual products on the product pages so ensure that you keep these consistant so that the content management system can accurately calculate your delivery prices.

Ensure for each type that none of the values overlap, for example if you were using grams then you would enter 100-200 and 201-300 etc. Do not enter the weight type; only use numerical data in the "From/To" fields.

For prices the same rules apply. Enter all prices as a decimal value without the currency symbol.

E.g. 1.00 = £1.00

Price bands must again not overlap, as certain valued products may then qualify for more than one of the options. The upper most price band should extend to an excessive amount, to ensure that all possible order values are prepared for.

If you have multiple delivery options, e.g. standard, next day etc. ensure that you have entered all of the relevant bands and prices.

For example;

0 - 1 (kg) £5.00 Standard Delivery

0 - 1 (kg) £10.00 Next Day Delivery etc etc

Once you have made changes we advise that you then add products from your site and ensure that you can see the correct delivery options and prices.

"Desc" refers to the description that will appear to customers when the different delivery options are presented.

Enter the type of delivery into the field (e.g. standard delivery, next working day delivery, etc.) and click "Add" to update.
